Is that you?

March 29, 2010

For the past week when I’ve gone to bed at night and chilled out with my book (BREAKING DAWN – YIPPEE!!)  I have started to feel the “bubbles” or “butterflies” in my tummy which I’m convinced is our baby moving.  I kind of keep questioning myself if this really is what I can feel or if its all in my head.  When I was pregnant with Little Bean I was much further along but I have heard that you do feel it earlier second time around and I’m definitely showing earlier than last time too.

Its an amazing and reassuring feeling and one which I had forgotten was  so nice.  I really can’t wait to really feel baby kicking and wriggling around.  Hubby commented this morning that he really wished he could experience this feeling but its a hard one to try to recreate for him.  I’ve tried telling him that it feels like you have bubbles rolling along the inside of your skin or just really gentle butterfly flutters but I don’t think this really covers it?!?!?  How have you described the feeling to your partners?  When did you first feel movements with your babies?  Please tell me that I haven’t just got wind!  Lol!!!

I felt it earlier with H, probably around 10 weeks it started. And yes it is very similar to wind, butterflies etc! I am questioning whether I am suffering with Irritable Bowel at the mo (doc says it’s not but I’m not convinced – it flares up when stressed or anxious and some foods trigger it) – anyway, getting off topic here, what I was meaning to say is that the sensations I get sometimes – which are most definitly not a baby – feel very similar to those early flutters and it is like air bubbles moving around in there – with me that is what it is though, much rather have a baby in there lmao!!
